Are your Podiatrists / Clinics multilingual?
Yes. We also speak Greek and Italian.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, for a standard consultation no referral is necessary – simply call us and make an appointment. However, for DVA Gold Card, WorkCover, TAC or Medicare (under the Enhanced Primary Care program), you will need a referral from your GP.
Is it covered by Medicare?
Patients who are eligible for an EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) plan and who have a valid referral from their GP will have their consultation bulk billed to Medicare. These visits are limited up to five consultations per calendar year.
Is it covered by Private Health Insurance or HICAPS?
Patients with Private Health Insurance with extras can access a rebate from their provider. Rebates will vary according to the fund and type of cover. To find out how much you are entitled to, contact your Private Health Insurance provider.
We have HICAPS available at both our clinics. Patients whose Private Health Insurance provider supports HICAPS can claim their rebate at the time of their consultation and will only need to pay the gap.
Do I need to bring my medical history?
No. But if you are suffering from foot and lower limb pain, please bring in any x-rays, shoes or old orthotics you may have.
Can you arrange a home visit?
If a patient is unable to attend one of our clinics we may be able to conduct a home visit depending on the circumstances. Please request a home visit when you call to make your appointment and note that home visit fees will apply.
How often do I need to visit a podiatrist?
There’s no standard period of time recommended between visits. How often you consult a Podiatrist will depend on the health of your feet. Our highly trained Podiatrists will advise you if you require a follow up consultation.
